Short, honest answers. If something isn’t here, write to us — we read every message.

Yes — free, forever. There are no ads, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, and nothing to unlock. It is a non-profit work; we are not looking to make money from your dhikr.
No. There is no account, no sign-up, and no analytics that identify you. Your counts, favorites, goals, and settings live only on your device. Nothing about your practice is sent to us or anyone else.
Completely. The app needs no connection to count, keep your history, or switch dhikr. The only optional download is a recitation audio file, if you choose to add one.
On purpose. Dhikr is between you and Allah — not a game to win. We show gentle reflection (a weekly rhythm, a lifetime total) but nothing that shames you for a missed day or turns remembrance into a scoreboard.
Yes. Alongside the built-in formulas drawn from hadith, you can add your own — with Arabic, transliteration, and meaning. An autocomplete helps you pick from common adhkār, or write your own entirely.
Two ways to count the same dhikr. The orb is a calm glowing disc you tap; the digital tasbih is a classic handheld counter with a green display. Switch between them anytime in Settings — pick whichever rests your hand and eye.
Yes. The app is fully bilingual in English and Arabic today, with complete right-to-left layout. On first launch it detects your device language and lets you choose. More languages are on the way.
Yes — a warm “paper” light mode alongside the contemplative dark. You can pick either, or let the app follow your device’s appearance automatically.
Each is drawn from the Qur’an and authenticated hadith, set with full diacritics, transliteration, meaning, and source. You can see the references on the Sources section of the home page.
Simply by using it, and by remembering its makers in your du‘ā. If it has helped your remembrance even once, a sincere prayer for us is worth more than we could ask.
Istighfar is a free, ad-free istighfar and dhikr counter for iOS and Android, made for a quiet, private practice. It has no account, no tracking, and works fully offline. The dhikr library is drawn from the Qur’an and authenticated hadith — each with Arabic, transliteration, meaning, and source — so you can count with confidence in what you recite.
Yes — Istighfar is a digital tasbih (tasbeeh) with no ads, no account, and no tracking. Count on a calm glowing orb or a classic handheld tasbeeh counter, and everything stays on your device. It is free forever and works offline, so nothing about your dhikr is ever sent anywhere.
Yes. Although it is named for istighfar, Istighfar works as a general tasbih/tasbeeh and zikr counter for any dhikr — including tasbih, tahmid, takbir, and salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ. Pick a formula from the library or add your own, then count it with the orb or the digital counter, offline and private.
