Terms of use

Simple terms, offered in good faith.

Istighfar is free, given as-is, for the sake of remembrance. By using it, you agree to the following.

Last updated · July 2026

This is a non-profit app made as a form of ongoing charity. We ask only that it be used with the respect its purpose deserves.

The app is free

Istighfar costs nothing and contains no ads or purchases. We make no money from it. You may use it for your personal remembrance without any license fee.

Provided “as is”

We build the app with care and verify the dhikr against their sources, but it is offered without warranty. We are not liable for any loss arising from its use. If you notice an error in a formula or a source, please tell us and we will correct it promptly.

Religious content

The Qur’anic verses and hadith are presented for remembrance and study, drawn from recognized sources and cited where shown. The app is a tool to aid your practice, not a replacement for knowledge from qualified scholars.

Acceptable use

Use the app for lawful, personal remembrance.
Do not attempt to misuse, disrupt, or misrepresent the app or its makers.
Do not repackage or redistribute the app as your own, or for commercial gain.

Your content

Any dhikr you add yourself stays on your device and remains yours. Because we store none of it, you are responsible for keeping it if you wish to.

Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. Meaningful changes will be reflected by the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
